The VIP In Situ Sling supports the patient's entire body while making the transfer. The sling runs under the seat, so the piping and darts of the sling are not under the seat. As a result, the In Situ Sling can remain in the chair after the transfer. This makes the transfer less stressful for both patients and caregivers.
The additional darts at the seat form a safe bucket shape. This prevents slipping in the sling and gives a safe feeling. The active headrest is fitted with stiffeners, giving shape and firmness to the sling and thus providing more support. The sling is made of thin and comfortable fabric made of recycled polyester in the colour grey.
The VIP In Situ Sling fits tightly around the patient's body and ensures a relaxed posture. The sling has a large number of darts. The resulting bucket shape brings the patient into a good sitting position. This makes positioning in the (wheel)chair easier and ensures that the sling remains securely in place in the (wheel)chair.
The darts form a small gap between the leg flaps, which increases safety and gives a comfortable feeling. The padded leg flaps of the sling prevent pinching. The In Situ Sling can only be applied and removed in a lying position and is safe to use in case of lower and upper leg amputations. The VIP In Situ Sling is suitable for use in combination with a passive hoist.
Polyester is a synthetic fabric made from recycled PET bottles. The material has a smooth texture, is durable and feels soft and comfortable. Polyester is a lightweight fabric and dries quickly. At the same time, it is a strong fabric with a long durability. The knitted fabric has stretch properties. As a result, the sling moulds well around the body in the chair and during transfers. The comfortable fabric makes this sling suitable to stay on during the day. The thin material is also a good combination with a fitted seat orthosis.
The VIP In Situ Sling is also available in the materials: bamboo jeans, bamboo black and recycled polyester net. Polyester net is a black mesh fabric for use in bath. The choice of material depends on the patient's needs and the application of the sling.
